Analysis of Various Acceleration Rates on Famous Drag Cars
Here are some sample runs showing how their cars accelerate at each
"checkpoint" on the track. It shows a lot about the cars, for example Lucky
Max said he held back on that run at top of 3rd and some of 4th so as not
to break the 12.0 bracket limitation. Well looking at his graph, we see
how his acceleration reduced.
I plot this in Excel spreadsheets at the track during testing on any
of our cars only because it shows whether the changes we make are effective
or not. Keep in mind that less weight on the car vs. more horsepower will
equate to the same thing = more acceleration.
